Before Leaving the Bar, A chance to Breathalyze

In the NPR article “Before Leaving the Bar, A chance to Breathalyze” (2011), Daniel

Robinson has been discussed a new device called Kiosk that detect alcohol level in user’s blood

based in two main aspects which are people interactive and device limitations. First, in spite of

drinkers thoughts that they are ok, Robinson illustrate people interactive with the new device

rely on Rank survey results that shows young drinkers enthusiasm and desire to use it unlike

other people who think it’s too embarrassed in a social settings. Since new devices could

predominantly have errors, Robinson has doubts toward Kiosk accuracy which needs some

expertise in order to have proper results. After considering Kiosk useless, Robinson concludes

on a debatable attitude whether Kiosk using policy would consider bar owners fears about their

revenue or not.
